What is Marlik® Solid Surface?
It is a solid material, with excellent properties and appearance that has come to revolutionize the design of parts, accessories and bathroom furniture among many other construction applications.
Marlik® Solid Surface products within its many styles can give the appearance of natural stone, but with unique advantages such as: soft and warm to the touch, non-porous, strength, durability, easy repair and easy to clean.
What is Marlik® Solid Surface made of?
It is composed of Polyester resin (PMMA, methyl methacrylate, or plastic) and aluminum trihydroxide (The aluminium trihydroxide (ATH) used is extracted from the mineral known as bauxite and it is refined prior to use, reaching a purity of up to 99.8%.)
What are the color options?
Infinity of options, more than 120 solid colors in stock, plus color matching services from a sample that you give us, and an infinity of natural or synthetic textures and the finish of your choice, to create a lighting effect that gives your project personality.
s it stain resistant?
Highly resistant to stains, easy to clean, as a result of its non-porous nature, stains cannot penetrate the surface.
How do I clean Marlik® Solid Surface?
Very simple, water, soap, a cloth, rinse and dry. As it is a non-porous material, it prevents fungus and bacteria from spreading.
Is it impact resistant?
Yes, its composites are shock absorbent. Marlik® Solid Surface is more resistant than granite or stainless steel. In an extreme case, it can be repaired without having to replace the entire piece.
Is Marlik® Solid Surface heat resistant?
Withstands temperatures of 392 F° (200°C), however it should not be placed in direct contact with flames or direct heat sources. Utensils removed from the stove should be placed on insulating boards.
Can microwave ovens, air fryers or electric oven be placed on the surface?
Yes, these appliances do not produce enough heat to damage Marlik® Solid Surface.
Does Marlik Solid Surface require a special sealer?
No, because it is not porous like granite, which often needs it, Marlik® Solid Surface is homogeneous and non-porous, so it will maintain its appearance which you can enjoy for many years to come.
Will the mold and design you developed for my pieces be used for another customer?
No, the mold and design will be exclusively for you.
